Live Drawing
Fast, spontaneous, instantaneous. An improvised moment, somewhere between drawing and theatre. A story without words. The title? US (you and me). 2026
Linen & Tea
A seven-metre-long antique linen cloth. Ethereal faces and hands, symbolic gestures and metaphysical presences. A meditative process that creates and reveals. The imprint of a memory that is not mine, or at least not mine alone. 2024
Dancing Moka Nr.2
Print, glue, assemble, cut, sew, dance and drink coffee! Here is the final act in the creation of the Dancing Moka No. 2. 2025.
Signature & Fine Art
A sweltering August afternoon. Venice. I refresh my eyes with white and blue. It’s not porcelain. They are my prints — floral, ornamental, arabesque and vaguely Scandinavian, comforting. I sign each one. 2024
Coffee & Moleskine
At Campo De Pozzi, a lone boy is playing football. We’re sitting at a table in the Osteria with a friend, and whilst she tells me stories about her life, I capture this half-hour in a drawing. Drawing is also a way of creating memories. 2025
La Naissance
The birth… of a book cover, of Venus, of a watercolour, of Venice… With a palette of five colours and Titian in mind, she emerges from the waters of the lagoon — the Goddess, the Muse, the Vision, the Gamble and the Promise. La Serenissima. 2024
He and She
Using blue acrylic paint, my hand decorates two wedding plates, in keeping with Renaissance customs from central Italy. But my plates are not made of clay; rather, they are linocuts hand-printed on sheets from a winery’s ledger. They date from 1923–1929. 2025
Black Cat
and other stories from Gotland, Sweden. 33 of my black-and-white illustrations for 33 Swedish fairy tales, published by Au Nord Les Étoiles, Paris, in 2024.
Dragonflies
The life of a dragonfly is short. A musical moment is fleeting. The linocut stands out like a stamp on scraps of paper bearing fragments of poems, musical notes and handwritten text. It captures that moment. 2019.
Giudecca
Venice, spring, that afternoon sun. A grebe in the waters of the Giudecca Canal. I am lucky to be here, to breathe this air and the scent of the sea. I feel as though I have wings too. I draw. 2025
Artist Art Book
I decided to respond to the open call from Libreria Bocca in Milan. I created my finest artist’s book to date. Watercolour, collage, linocut, ink, acrylic, needle and thread. A stunning Leporello. Sold. 2024.
Drawing alive
There are things that cannot be said. There are people you cannot embrace. There are springs that take root. Sometimes a tree is not what it seems. 2026
